I suggest we do this to make mapping easier and stuff. I want a map and prefabs

So we can just easily open it and directly start making the jumps .(I'm not good in this.)

Like how big the map will be and allready hollowed or stuff like speed ladders or stuff with climb option. Smile

Sounds like hes sayin it would be nice to have a basic map (just a fully caulked big room as an example, maybe skybox, WS settings, spawns, glob. intermission etc.) so you could start putting things into it right away or so ppl can look at it for a start and see how things are done. Smile

In my opinion its pretty useless when making an actual map, beacause even a huge qubic box with much room often got in my way or gave me other trouble later on so it had to be removed/changed again anyhow.
On the other hand such a "map" is a REALLY neat lil thingy if u just want to throw some trash together or test things from your maps or whatever else like jeffro said with the mantle tools etc.
In cod 1 i always had sumthn called jm_testy to test player/size related stuff or threw a new section of a jumpmap in the testroom which would load a lot faster than the whole actual jumpmap would have done.

edit: as for prefabs (if u mean models like flak/tanks) you hardly ever use much of it if u just put all random stuff in and also just need to delete later on.
Specially in the beginning it can simply take a while to put things together BEFORE you even put your first jump in the map (but that depends on your style of doing things in radiant and on the order in which you do things tbh).

I think i could just send you something over if your on xfire or something.

oh i see... i think it's a nice idea
about the skybox i dont think it will really cause problems - if it gets too small at one time u can always expand it and to change worldspawn settings quickly just open the map in word pad and copy-paste the new ones there

Howbout things like an UNREAL Spawn area?^^ You guys get together and make up a nice spawnlocation with a few lil extras and maybe some advertisements for your hp/clan and can always reuse it in later maps.
(would be a nice "trademak" aswell).
But no idea, some ppl may not want to use stuff influenced byothers in their map thats up to you.
Also and in this care im pretty sure, a GOOD (in terms of mapping) gaps section like in ultra_gaps saved as a prefab, could save you a lot of time instead of having to rebuild again and again.
Reason why i came up with gaps as example is that i just had to make a new section 220-270 which bugged me a lot cause i had saved others before and could have worked on other things in that time.
Gaps is just a nice addition to any jumpmap in my opinion so a prefab of this should be useful in future projects.

each map should at least have 1 sign of UJ, like the link of the site. and a UNREAL spawnpoint sounds cool 2 me, maybe someone could create a texture with our logo ?
