Having a bit of trouble trying to play cod2 online atm.
I tried several times yesterday and today aswell to get any servers to show in cod2 serverlist but its empty. Anyone has same problem and is the masterserver just screwed/getting updated OR is this me n my internet ? I came up with nothing real smart so far im afraid Crying or Very sad

I even thought it might be related to the fact tht i am using a fixed exe so i wont need to mess up my DVDs but i inserted my disk, replaced the no cd with backup of my original one and still same. (never had/heard of this causing my sort of problem either)

Ill have another look in my routers settings, but i played cod ever since part 1 came out and never did anything related to cod in here except for opening ports i kinda seem to remember. (havnt closed / router didnt reset so i dont think my problem is here)

pls tell me its the masterserver..... Mad

i also had some kind of that problem when trying to join servers in cod2 serverlist, try to join someone over xfire that should work Wink

just try to join a server from the console by /connect server_ip Wink

Ok now after reading through some forums etc. includind IWs imm starting to think cod2 COULD be dead as far as this is concerned.
Server supposedly isnt even down but just blocks acess by sendind you some kind of port error or whatever it was i dont remember exactly what they said. I reallly hope its all just temporary but servers have been down since saturday (at least) and thats a lil longer that the updates and such took before.

Problem is ppl in my xfire are all either wow/sro addicts, some quakers and et players OR if they played cod 1/2 with me, moved on to part 4 now Crying or Very sad

As for joining via console, the thing is i would need an ip but i just wanted to get some new ones from the masterlist. You know any goo dsd or maybe tdm let me know pls

If anybody else knows/has or knows where to get something like an all seeing eye serverlist for cod2 / hlsw serverlist or has a few goos servers pls let me know.

Mainly looking for gametype SD, all weapons, wont mind custom maps or decent mods. US servers are ok but due to ping EU would be prefered.

You can search for ALL CoD2 servers on xfire as well

Yay things seem to have normalized a bit, can reach some servers again alto there are less than before somehow.
Only problems still occuring are PB related. (i get 10 or 20 kicks per day due to all sorts of random errors such as packetloss, outdated pb, duplicate key?!? Shocked

, ...).

Still if you know about a nice server, let me know.

That's a well-known all wepz server with carentan, burgundy, toujane and dawnville on it (maybe you already know it)
But that's the only one I know since I'm a pure rifler Wink

OMFG the main server list is down since a cople of months i remember when my old clan mates told me,but as you see there MANY other ways to get new servers Wink

Well now i had to realize that i would have been screwed big times if servers would have stayed down.

btw. how can i browse for cod or any other servers in xfire, i never tried that but if krys says it works i would want to try maybe i like that way. (usually never use anything but HLSW to list/join servers etc.)
